Webster, Minnesota
Webster is a comfortably rustic community of more than 1,800 citizens in northern Rice County (south central Minnesota). Established in 1858 by Irish, Norwegian, and German settlers, Webster has prospered for nearly 150 years, through epidemics, natural disasters, and economic hardship. Many of Webster's present residents are descendents of the first settlers and live on land that has been handed down from generation to generation. Webster is less than twenty minutes south of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area and is surrounded by the rapidly expanding communities of Northfield, Faribault, Lonsdale, New Prague, and New Market. Webster shares its northern border with Scott County, the twelfth-fastest growing county in the United States.
